The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, in terms of section 13A of the NEM:WA, published the National Pricing Strategy for Waste Management.
 
The Pricing Strategy is a legislative requirement of the NEM:WA and gives effect to the National Waste Management Strategy. The Pricing Strategy sets out guiding methodologies for the setting of waste management charges, which are aimed at funding the re-use, recycling or recovery of waste and the implementation of industry waste management plans for those activities that generate specific waste streams.
